Cooper Steel South Tops Out Second Fabrication Facility

Our team gathered to celebrate the final beam for our new fabrication shop in Childersburg, Alabama last week.

The event marked an exciting milestone for Cooper Steel South as we work toward doubling our operational capacity and creating new job opportunities in the area. To honor the occasion, team members had the opportunity to sign their names on the final beam — leaving a legacy for generations to come.

Once completed, the state-of-the-art shop will span more than 109,000 square feet and will include an 11,000 square foot office and breakroom. In line with all our other fabrication shops, the facility will be fully air conditioned, continuing our commitment to create a working environment where our team members can thrive.
